The transformation of politics

This research project focuses on the dynamics of politics, both within states and between them, in order to identify the trajectories and directions of its current change, even at the European level. Among the topics being analyzed in this area are the transformation of the party form and representation, the evolution of political actors and forms of political communication, the political implications of economic development and the relationship between domestic and international politics.

DISSEMINATION EVENTS AND RESEARCH PRODUCTS

- During 2017 the cycle of events "The sense of Europe: sixty years of the European integration process" , organized by the CSEIA to celebrate the sixtieth anniversary of the conclusion of the Treaties of Rome, was held at the University of Parma. Prof. Massimo Cacciari, Prof. Giuliano Amato and Prof. Sergio Fabbrini gave lectures in the context of this initiative.

- On 20-21 November 2017, the international workshop "Opposing Europe? Anti-Europeanism, Euroscepticism, populism and radical democracy", organized by CSEIA, took place at the University of Parma.

- On 10 October 2018, the First Parma International Conference on Deliberative Democracy, co-organized by CSEIA, was held at the University of Parma.
