PROLUSION TO THE COURSES OF POLITICAL SCIENCE

A.Y. 2021/2022


The prologue to the degree courses in Political Science at the University of Parma for the 2021-2022 academic year was delivered by Ilvo Diamanti, Professor of Political Science at the Carlo Bo University of Urbino.

The theme chosen by Prof. Diamanti is "Viral Democracy".

The ceremony, organised by the Department of Law, Political and International Studies and the Centre for Studies in European and International Affairs - CSEIA of the University of Parma, was held on Thursday 11 November at 11.30 a.m. in the Aula dei Filosofi of the University of Parma's Headquarters. After the greetings of the Pro-Rector for Education and Student Services Sara Rainieri, the meeting was introduced and coordinated by Giacomo Degli Antoni, President of the Political Science degree courses, and Emanuele Castelli, lecturer in Political Science.

Politologist, sociologist, essayist, Ilvo Diamanti is a columnist for the daily newspaper ‘la Repubblica’, where he weekly draws ‘maps’ of Italian politics and society. He is a member of the scientific and editorial board of several journals and of the Italian Society for Electoral Studies. He periodically collaborates with the Parisian newspaper ‘Le Monde’.
